FITNESS CLASS DESCRIPTION:

FAT BLASTER AEROBICS THIS IS A 30 MINUTE LOW IMPACT CARDIOVASCULAR WORKOUT.  FUN, EASY TO FOLLOW CHOREOGRAPHY DESIGNED FOR ALL LEVELS.  COME AND HAVE FUN BURNING THE BUTTER.

AEROBICS ONLY IN THE CHAIR. 30 MINUTES OF HEART PUMPING AEROBIC STYLE MOVEMENTS IN THE CHAIR. NO EQUIPMENT NEEDED. ONE CONTINUOUS CHAIR PARTY!

CALORIE KILLER PLUS SCULPT: FIRST 30 MINUTES OF CLASS IS A CALORIE INCINERATOR. BURN BABY BURN. EASY MOVES FOR ALL LEVELS. LAST 15 MINUTES IS BODYSCULPT WITH WEIGHTS, AND A RELAXING STRETCH.

EVERYTHING CHAIR: AS THE NAME IMPLIES, THIS WORKOUT IS CARDIOVASCULAR BASED, INCLUDING ABDOMINALS, RESISTANCE TRAINING WITH HANDWEIGHTS, BANDS AS WELL AS BALANCE AND STRETCH.

CHAIR SCULPT PLUS ABS/BAL:  THIS SCULPTING CLASS COVERS ALL AREAS OF THE BODY WITH AND WITHOUT EQUIPMENT. CORE STRENGTHENING AND BALANCE EXERCISES INCLUDED.

CHAIR WORKOUT:  NOT WHAT YOU WOULD EXPECT FROM A CHAIR WORKOUT. FUN, CHALLENGING, EFFECTIVE WITH NO BODY PART UNTOUCHED. DUMBBELLS AND RESISTANCE BANDS INCORPORATED. HIGH ENERGY GREAT MUSIC AND INSTRUCTION. FOR ALL LEVELS.

CHAIR INTERVAL MONDAYS CABARET GREAT MIX OF AEROBICS AND RESISTANCE TRAINING. YOUR CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEM IS CHALLENGED AND EVERY BODY PART IS HIT USING DUMBBELLS AND BANDS.

CHAIR DANCING PLUS WEIGHTS A HIGH ENERGY FUN WOKOUT THAT STRENGTHENS THE CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEM. RESISTANCE TRAINING IS ALSO INCLUDED FOR A FULL BODY WORKOUT.

STRETCH IN THE CHAIR SERIES OF SEATED CHAIR STRETCHES, TO DECREASE MUSCLE SORENESS, BACK PAIN, IMPROVE FLEXIBILITY, RANGE OF MOTION. RELIEVE STRESS, INVITE RELAXATION. TWO CHAIRS MAY BE USED. SOOTHING MUSIC.

STRETCHING: STANDING AND SEATED RHYTHMIC AND STATIC STRETCHES TO HELP FLEXIBILITY, RANGE OF MOTION, BALANCE AND POSTURE.

PLAY BALL FUN 30 MINUTE BALL WORKOUT, MEDICINE BALLS AND SQUISH BALLS USED TO ADD RESISTANCE, VARIETY AND EYE HAND COORDINATION.

DUMBBELLS ONLY: THIS IS MORE OF A HARDCORE WEIGHT TRAINING CLASS USING DUMBBELLS.  ALL MUSCLE GROUPS WILL BE ATTACKED AND EXHAUSTED. IF YOU WANT TO SEE CHANGE IN YOUR BODY THIS IS THE CLASS FOR YOU.

YOGA ON THE MAT:  YOGA POSES COMBINED WITH MEDITATION HELPS TO IMPROVE ON HOW THE BRAIN FUNCTIONS, AND REDUCES STRESS BY CALMING EMOTIONS. THIS PRACTICE HELPS TO DEEPEN OUR KNOWLEDGE OF THE MIND, BODY AND SPIRIT.

YOGA IN THE CHAIR: THIS CLASS HELPS TO INCREASE FLEXIBILITY, MUSCLE STRENGTH, AND RANGE OF MOTION. YOGA HELPS TO REDUCE STRESS AND ANXIETY. All MOVES CAN BE PERFORMED AT YOUR OWN LEVEL.  RELAXING, MEDITATIVE MUSIC.

9:30 OUTDOOR AQUACIZE: FULL BODY WORKOUT USING THE RESISTANCE OF THE WATER.  DUMBBELLS AND NOODLES MAY ALSO BE USED. GET INVIGORATED AND FEEL AMAZING AFTER 45 MINUTES OF CARDIO AND SCUJLPTING MOVES IN THE WATER.

AQUACIZE. NO SWIMMING SKILLS NEEDED. THIS CLASS IS DESIGNED TO IMPROVE RANGE OF MOTION, STRENGTH, MUSCLE TONE AND CARDIOVASCULAR ENDURANCE WHILE USING THE RESISTANCE OF THE WATER, AS WELL AS AQUA DUMBBELLS.

EXERCISES ARE PERFORMED TO LIVELY, MOTIVATING MUSIC.

WATER PUMP:  EVERYTHING FEELS BETTER ONCE YOU ENTER THE WATER ENVIRONMENT. WATER PROVIDES CUSHION TO YOUR JOINTS, EASIER TO MOVE, AND YOU STILL GET INCREDIBLE BENEFITS AND RESULTS FROM THE RESISTANCE OF THE WATER. GREAT MUSIC TO MAKE YOU WANT TO MOVE.  WATER DUMBBELLS AND NOODLES MAY BE USED. THIS CLASS WILL SURELY BE A SUNDAY FUNDAY.

AQUA ARTHRITIS GENTLE FLOWING RANGE OF MOTION EXERCISES THAT DECREASE PAIN AND DEPRESSION.  BALANCE, MUSCULAR STRENGTH AND AEROBIC FITNESS WILL ALSO BE IMPROVED UPON IN THIS WARM WATER ARTHRITIS CLASS.

  • NOTE IS REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY CLASS AS WELL AS USE CARDIO AND WEIGHT ROOMS.
  • Notes are required to participate in any Fitness Class or use the Fitness rooms.  Fax note to (954) 724-4004.
  • Aqua Arthritis Class is now held on Monday and Friday at 12:00p.m. in the Indoor Pool.  (Friday Class starts July 9)
  • The 9:15 and 10:00a.m. Chair classes will continue to be held in the Palace.
  • Two (2) New Fitness Classes Tuesday and Thursday at 11:00a.m.-11:45a.m.  in the Aerobics Room. This will start on Thursday July 8, 2021.
  • Tuesday class is QuikFix15x3.  15 minutes of Lower Body, 15 minutes of Cardio Blast. 15 minutes of Upper Body.
  • Thursday Class is HIIT Workout or High Intensity Interval Training for all levels.
  • Water Classes on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays are now 45 minutes.  11:00-11:45am.

 

Fitness Orientations on Equipment have started up again. If you are new, unfamiliar, or just need a refresher on the proper use of the Fitness Equipment call or come into the Fitness Office to set up an appointment, were happy to help.
